In Victoria, Victims of a violent crime may be entitled to compensation for such things as medical treatment, lost earnings, and counselling required from the crime.
The Victorian Government funds a scheme for Victims of Crime which allows for Victims to claim for expenses and/or losses incurred by the Victim.
